Transactions is an area within Collaborator where transaction data can be uploaded by collaborators for their trading partners to use in Trading Programs. When a trading partner has been selected in Collaborator, users with the correct permissions will be able to select the Transactions tile.
Once the tile has been selected, you will be taken to the Transactions area. Here you will see an Import transactions button at the top of the screen, a summary of recent transactions and a currency code selector, as well as links to the master data and transaction import logs.
The transaction summary is shown on the homepage for Transactions. You must first select a currency using the selector at the top right of the page. The summary provides an overview of each month, showing the total value and number of transactions, as well as the date of the latest transaction. The number of months shown can be increased by clicking the 'Show more months' button towards the bottom of the summary - this will extend the summary on the page and can be clicked multiple times.
The Master data area can be accessed from the bottom of the Transactions homepage and contains all information regarding the dimensions used by your trading partner in their Trading Programs tenant.
When you navigate to the master data page, you are required to choose a dimension using the selector at the top right of the screen. Dimensions are the elements of you and your trading partners' businesses that payment is assigned to - some common examples include branches and products.
Once a dimension is selected, a list of references for each dimension item will appear on screen. These are the references you will use to populate the template that you download during the import of transactions. Note that if you use a reference that is not on the list, the import will still go ahead, but will display the number of unrecognized references when attempting the import.
The master data lists can also be downloaded as a CSV file, or viewed on the collaborator page by navigating through the pages located at the top right of the master data area.
Collaborators will now be able to see dimension attributes in the master data provided this is set-up. In this example the dimension attribute is 'Discount Groups', other typical dimension attributes are 'product group' or 'branch location'.
The transaction log is where all the details of past imports are stored. A list of all transactions is displayed and will be stored on multiple pages. The items in the list will display which trading partner you uploaded the transactions on behalf of, the import date, who the transactions were imported by, the value of the import, the number of transaction lines in the import, the date range and then an option to download the imported file.
To download a file, click the icon under the import file column for the import that you would like to view. This will download the original file that was uploaded.
