The first step in creating a deal within Enable is to choose the type. Enable is able to represent multiple different types of deals, which all fall under 3 areas.
Special pricing agreement
Special pricing agreements are offered between a manufacturer and a distributor to offer products at a specially reduced price to a customer.
A few examples are:
- A certain percentage discounted off of a given price (this is typically list price or invoice price);
- A fixed monetary amount per unit;
- Support to a guaranteed profit margin.
Trading program
Rebate is usually paid retrospectively as defined by a pre-agreed trading program. Rebate can be paid by vendors or received by customers.
A few examples are:
- Growth incentives;
- Marketing rebates;
- Volume discounts.
Ad hoc deal
Ad hoc deals support agreements between a supplier and a receiver with no restrictions on terms.
If you are able to act on behalf of more than one organization, you will additionally be asked to choose which organization you are creating the contract on behalf of.
