Deals are the fundamental entity within DealTrack that “earns” money. Each deal belongs to a single scheme, which in turn belongs to a single trading partner.
When configuring a deal, it must be assigned a reference, description, deal type, deal mechanism, start date and end date.
A deal may need to be allocated dimension items from each dimension, depending on the selected deal mechanism. It is this allocation of dimension items that allows DealTrack to match turnover lines to deals, which in turn allows deals earnings to be calculated.
These earnings can be seen when analysing the scheme for the deal; the analysis page also presents the forecasted earnings and turnover for each deal in the scheme.
