Adding members to a buying group
To add a new member to a buying group:
Step 1: Click on Config in the green banner at the top of the page.
Step 2: Click on Structure in the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Click on the Trading partners tab. Note: This may be named differently (e.g. Customers), but will always represent your trading partners.
Step 4: Locate the buying group you wish to update by paging through the list, or use the search box to filter the list by buying group name.
Step 5: Click on the relevant buying group to display its details on the right side of the page.
Step 6: Click on the Manage members button on the top right. The member listing page for the buying group will be displayed.
Note: If you are unable to see the Manage members button, reach out to the Enable Support team to ask about setting up buying group functionality in your channel.
Step 7: Click on the Add member button.
Step 8: Enter the following details for the buying group:
-
Member name: Type a trading partner name or reference to search existing regular trading partners, and select one of the available options. Note: You can only add regular trading partners (non-buying groups) as members of a buying group.
-
Start date: Type a date or click the ☰ button to select the date the member begins their membership in this buying group (including this date). Start date is mandatory.
-
End date: Type a date or click the ☰ button to select the date the member ends their membership in this buying group (including this date). End date is optional, and can be left blank if not applicable.
Note: A member can only be part of one buying group over a specified period of time. For example, a single member can be part of Buying Group 1 from January 1 - June 30, and Buying Group 2 from July 1 - December 31, but cannot overlap across those date ranges.
Step 9: Once complete, click the Add button.
