Payment granularity works together with payment frequency to determine the number of payment lines that are generated for a program line. For each payment period determined by the payment frequency, there will be a payment line for each value of the granularity selected.
For example, below is an image of a one-year long program line with a monthly frequency and the payment granularity set to ‘Branches. This example has three branches included in the program line.
Then, there are 3 payment lines for each month, one payment line for each branch. Over the course of the year, this means there are a total of 36 payment lines, 3 lines per month with 12 months. Your finance team will then be able to make adjustments and payment allocations against any of these 36 payment lines through the Finance App, shown below.
