Description
A mechanism where the earnings are a fixed rate, expressed as an amount per unit volume, and this rate is independent of transactions. For example, a program line with earnings of $0.50 per unit, regardless of the number of transacted units.
Configuration approach
You will be required to enter a rate for the program line and select at least one dimension item for each of your dimensions.
Enable will select matching transaction lines for the program line, based on:
- The trading partner to which the program line belongs.
- Your dimension item selections.
- The start and end date of the program line.
- The currency of the parent trading program.
To calculate an earnings result for the program line as a whole, Enable will multiply the user-entered per unit rate by the total across the matching transaction lines for transaction units.
To calculate an earnings result for a matching transaction line, Enable will multiply the user-entered per unit rate by the entry for transaction units that applies to the transaction line.
Units of measure conversion
Some program lines may exist where the unit of measure to which the per-unit rate applies is different from the unit of measure of the included transaction lines; for example, you may have agreed with your trading partner to a per-ton rate, but your transactions may be measured in kilograms. Rather than process your data before uploading it to Enable, you can simply convert between units in our system.
Three types of units of measure settings are available:
-
Global UoM: Used for UoM conversion rates and units on a per-product basis that are consistent across program lines.
-
Program line-specific UoM: Used when every product item in a program line uses the same unit of measure conversion ratio.
-
Product-specific UoM: Used to define the conversion ratio for each product item in a program line individually.
For more information on units of measure conversion, please see the following article.
Optional settings
For a program line that uses the Fixed unit rate plug-in, the only optional settings are Dimension specific rates and Dimension specific unit of measure conversions.
- Selecting Dimension specific rates will prompt you to upload a .csv file that, for each dimension item in the chosen dimension, specifies: the units turnover is measured in, the conversion factor between program line units and the turnover units, and the amount per turnover unit.
