Smart Analysis is an AI-powered tool designed to uncover insights within selected data. These insights include trends, correlations, outliers and explanations for changes such as increases or decreases.
You can generate Smart Analysis from any tile in your AI-Powered Analytics Dashboard.

Generating a new smart analysis
To generate a new smart analysis:
Step 1: From your Enable apps, click on the Analytics & Insights tile to access your AI-Powered Analytics Home page. Note: If you have access to multiple dashboards, you will need to select a specific dashboard to open.
Step 2: In your dashboard, hover over a tile. Click on the … button and select Smart analysis analyse.
Step 3: Select one or more of the following insight categories to include in your analysis:
- Outlier: Identify outliers that diverge from the rest of your data set.
- Trend Analysis: Find the interesting trends in your underlying data.
- Cross correlation: Discover how your metrics correlate with other measures.
Step 4: Click Continue.
Step 5: Set the checkbox to select one or more measures and one or more attributes.
A measure is a calculated field used to perform dynamic calculations on your data. This could be:
- Something directly from your data, e.g. total transactions or number of trading programs.
- Something calculated using a formula, e.g. actual earnings calculated using total earnings minus transactions.
Tip: The platform will automatically make a selection for you. To display more options, toggle Show only selected off to display all available measures and attributes. Try using the search bar to identify a column name you are looking to use.
Step 6: Click Customise parameters (above the search bar) to set any other requirements.
Step 7: Click the Analyse button. Your analysis will now be underway.
Reviewing smart analysis results
Once a smart analysis is generated, it will be located under the Smart Analysis page for the next 24 hours unless saved.
To review your smart analysis results:
Step 1: Within AI-Powered Analytics, click on Smart Analysis in the green banner at the top of the page.
Step 2: Click on a row to display the smart analysis results.
Step 3: Review each result, and click on the thumbs up or thumbs down button below to provide feedback on whether the insight is useful. Tip: Do this to allow the AI to learn and improve your results going forward.
You can also click on the arrow on the right of the page to navigate to a different visual of your smart analysis results.
Tip: Not quite what you’re looking for? Click on the … in the top right of the page and select Analysis Details to review which data has been used. Then, via the same …, select Customise analysis to change your original selections.
Step 5: If required, click the Save insights button at the top of the page. This will remove the expiry and allow you to access the insights beyond the initial 24 hours from when they were initially generated.
Tip: To give a colleague visibility of your smart analysis, click on the … in the top right of the page and select Share.
Scheduling a smart analysis
To schedule an existing smart analysis:
Step 1: Within the Smart Analysis page, click on the … next to the relevant row and click Schedule Summary analysis. Alternatively, if you are already in the results, click the … in the top right of the page and select Schedule Summary analysis.
Step 2: Select how frequently the summary will generate, e.g. hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
Step 3: Click the Schedule Summary button.
Your smart analysis will now be scheduled, and the schedule will be displayed in the status on the Smart Analysis page.
Managing smart analysis
If required, click on the … against the row within the Smart Analysis page and select from more options:
- Save: Use to prevent the smart analysis from expiring.
- Delete: Use to remove a smart analysis if no longer required. Tip: Looking to stop a schedule but retain its results? Use Pause schedule instead.
- Customise analysis: Use to change the criteria of smart analysis results.
- Modify schedule: Use to amend and update an existing schedule.
- Pause schedule: Use to stop a schedule from automatically generating. Once a schedule is pause, this option will change to Resume schedule.
- Analysis runs: Use to display a previously scheduled smart analysis's dates, times and results.
