Terms items allow you to capture important information related to the trading program, where these terms items don’t affect your rebate calculations.
Terms items offer a range of flexibility in the type of information that can be captured, and could include trading partner details, payment terms, or additional relevant documents.

Users with edit permissions for program lines have the ability to edit trading programs and add terms for the included trading partners within their access settings. If you require additional help, please reach out to our support team here.
To add terms to a trading program:
Step 1: Within your trading program, click on the Terms tab. The terms items displayed here will be based on the configured terms for your selected trading program type version, and will be labelled based on your organization’s requirements.
Step 2: Populate each terms item for your trading program.
Step 3: Once you have completed the terms items for your trading program, click the Save button at the bottom of the page. If a term is mandatory, you will be prompted to populate or select the terms item before saving.
The following types of terms items may be displayed in the Terms tab of a trading program:
- Text: Allows you to add custom text for your trading program. Default text may be automatically populated in a terms item.
- Number: Add a numerical value for this trading program. A default number may be automatically populated in a terms item.
- Date: Add in a specific date for this trading program. A default date may be automatically populated in a terms item.
- Single Select List: Select one option from a pre-determined list for this trading program. A default option may be automatically selected in a terms item.
- Multi-select List: Select one or more options from a pre-determined list for this trading program. One or more default options may be automatically selected in a terms item.
- Document: Upload a relevant document for your trading program.
- Trading partner contact: Select a specific contact for the trading partner. Trading partner may be named differently depending on your channel, e.g. supplier or customer.
- Payment days: If you are using the Finance app, set the number of days when rebate payment is due after the payment amount is calculated. For example, if you have a program that ends on the 31st of December with the rebate payment days set to 30 days, payment for this program will not become due until the 31st of January instead of the usual 1st of January.
The following trading partner terms may also be displayed. Trading partner may be named differently depending on your channel, e.g. supplier or customer. These terms may be pre-populated and uneditable:
- Trading partner name: Automatically populated with the name of the trading partner for the trading program.
- Trading partner reference: Automatically populated with the reference of the trading partner for the trading program.
- Trading partner attribute: Automatically populated with attribute values for the trading partner, e.g. address, website, phone number, etc.
- Trading program ID: Automatically populated with the ID of trading program ID (as displayed in the trading program’s Settings tab).
