Channel admin users can invite team members to start using special pricing agreements (SPAs).
This article will guide you through:
- Navigating to user configuration for a SPAs channel
- Adding a new user to a SPAs channel
- Sending the welcome email to the new user

Channel admin users have access to the Config area and user management within Enable.
To navigate to user configuration:
Step 1: Within your SPAs channel, click on Config in the green banner at the top of the page.
Step 2: Click on User permissions in the drop-down menu.
The users who have access to SPAs will be displayed here.
To add a new user:
Step 1: Click on the Add a user in Trading Programs button.
Step 2: Click on the + button. The Enter details panel will automatically be displayed on the right.
Step 3: Continue to populate the details explained in the sections below.
- Email address: Enter the user’s email address, ensuring no spaces are added before or after the email address. Then click Next to automatically display the remaining settings.
Note: If you use an external single sign-on (SSO) identity provider to log into Enable (as opposed to an Enable account), you must additionally add the new user's first name and surname.
- User language: SPAs does not currently support other user languages. Interested in using a different user language? Let the Enable Support team know by raising feedback here.
- Number display format: SPAs does not currently support different number display formats. Interested in using a different number display format? Let the Enable Support team know by raising feedback here.
- Channel admin: Set the checkbox to provide the user with access to the Config menu. Channel admin users have the ability to manage users, manually import primary data and trading partners, manually import transactions, review transaction reconciliation reports, and manage pricing configuration.

Can access deals: Set the checkbox to provide read access to SPAs. This is required for SPAs channel users. Need a user to edit SPAs as well as read? Once you have finished creating the user, reach out to the Enable Support team here.
Other access settings may be displayed if your channel also uses trading programs; only the above settings are applicable for SPA channels. Learn more about user access settings for trading programs here.
- Executive Dashboard: Set the checkbox to provide the user with access to executive dashboard to view a summary of SPA performance including top products and end customers by claim value. Interested in Executive Dashboard but don’t have this option available? Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to discuss further.
- Pricing: Set the checkbox to provide the user with access to view and edit price lists.
Other apps may be displayed if your channel also uses trading programs; only the above apps are applicable for SPA channels. Learn more about app access for trading programs here.
Once the above settings have been selected, click the Save button to create the user.
Click the Send welcome email button for your user to be invited to use Enable. Note: Your new user will not have access until this email is sent.
The team member will then receive an email from Enable inviting them to start using the platform. They will be required to click on the URL provided and if they do not already have an account with Enable, set the details for their account.
For users who have already been sent a welcome email, the Send welcome email button will be disabled. Need a welcome email to be resent? Reach out to the Enable Support team here.
Adding a direct manager for a user
When managers are set up, only applicable managers are sent notifications in the approval step, improving your workflow efficiency.
To add a direct manager for a user:
Step 1: Within your SPAs channel, click on Config in the green banner at the top of the page.
Step 2: Click on User permissions in the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Select the user from the list to display Edit user permissions on the right side of the page.
Step 4: Under Manager, click to search and select the individual who is the user’s line manager.
Step 5: Click the Save button.
Step 6: Review your workflow configuration to ensure that Manager is selected in the applicable Step type.
